Hannah Legesse (she/her) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), and primarily works with adolescents, young adults, and families. Hannah has experience treating a variety of mental health concerns, with a particular passion for eating disorders and post-trauma symptoms. She also has experience in settings ranging from hospice care and school counseling to intensive therapeutic programs for adults and adolescents. Hannah is warm and direct, and dedicated to providing her clients with a safe, comfortable environment to work through their concerns. Hannah partners with clients to bring balance, pleasure, and peace back into their lives, and honors goals that align with their needs and values. Hannah utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing techniques, elements from structural and strategic family therapy, and applies a psychodynamic understanding to her clients. Hannah also has specialized expertise in Family Based Treatment (FBT) for adolescents with eating disorders.
Hannah received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Creighton University in 2018, and went on to complete her master’s degree in social work from Boston College in 2019. Away from her desk, Hannah loves snuggling with her cat, traveling, discovering new foods, and sharing time with loved ones. In her work, Hannah is honored to bear witness to each individual’s unique story, and supports clients in honing their strengths, in order to build positive and lasting change in their lives.
